Genevieve Blais is a lens-based artist earning great praise for her work involving art historical and theoretical narratives. The artistโ€™s twisted representation of familiar subject matter characterizes her fantasy world. Her captivating yet sinister work draws on themes of sexuality, mortality and symbolism.

Blaisโ€™ works have been commissioned by national institutions like the Royal Ontario Museum and the Ontario Science Center, exhibited nationally and featured on a range of publications across mediums from Beautiful/Decay, the Today Show to Photo+ in Korea. She currently lives and works in Toronto.
